The waterfront boardwalk at Jurong Lake Gardens, AI-generated artist's impression

Location

130 metres to the platform

Two stops to Jurong East, under a kilometre to Jurong Lake Gardens.

Artist’s impression. The developer’s e-book captions every image in it as AI-generated, and this is one of them.

Lakeside, District 22

The station is across the walkway

Lakeside station sits immediately north of the site across an existing covered walkway. Measured in OneMap from each of the five blocks, the station is 126 to 171 metres away.

From there it is one stop to Chinese Garden and two to Jurong East, where the East-West Line meets the North-South Line and JEM, Westgate and IMM sit on top of the interchange. By road the AYE, PIE and KJE are all within reach.

Schools

What the two official sources actually say

The developer’s e-book names two primary schools within approximately 1km: Rulang and Shuqun. Both are right, and the official data adds two more that the brochure does not name.

Every school distance on this site is checked in OneMap’s School Query and in MOE’s SchoolFinder before it is published. Checked on 12 September 2026, both return the same answer for Lucerne Grand’s own five addresses: no result. The building is under construction and is not yet in the home-school-distance dataset, which is the same gap Amberwood at Holland has.

What both sources do list is the block next door. The Lakefront Residence, 42 to 48 Lakeside Drive, 80 to 140 metres west, returns four primary schools within 1km and four more between 1 and 2km — identical in both sources, school for school and band for band.

Why the measured column is here. MOE’s home-school distance runs from the school boundary to the building outline, which is never longer than the point-to-point figures above. Four schools at 0.4 to 0.8 km are therefore inside 1km on any measure. That is corroboration, not certification: until Lucerne Grand’s own address appears in the official data, treat the bands as the neighbour’s and verify yours with MOE at the point of registration.
One school drops out, and it is the right one. Block 48, the westernmost of the neighbouring blocks, also returns Westwood Primary in its 1–2km band. Blocks 42, 44 and 46 do not, and Westwood measures 2.20–2.24 km from Lucerne Grand’s own blocks — consistent with it falling out of range as the address moves east.

The 2027 change

The two-track rule does not reach here

From the 2027 Primary 1 Registration Exercise, MOE splits Phase 2C into a within-2km track and a beyond-2km track at twelve named schools, and raises the Phase 2C reserve from 40 places to 60. None of those twelve is in this part of the west: they are in Bukit Timah, Holland, Novena, Katong and Marine Parade. At Lucerne Grand the ordinary priority still applies — within 1km first, then 1 to 2km, then beyond.

The change still matters to anyone weighing this address against one in those precincts, which is what the guide to the 2027 registration changes sets out in full.

Jurong Lake District

The long build-out next door

Jurong Lake District is planned as Singapore’s largest mixed-use business district outside the city centre, centred on Jurong East two stops away.

It is a decades-long programme rather than a delivery date, and that cuts both ways: the upside is real and so is the wait. Jurong Lake Gardens, the 90-hectare national gardens with the Chinese and Japanese Gardens inside them, is already finished and is under a kilometre from the site.

Beyond the lake, Jurong Innovation District and the wider western employment belt sit within the same corridor.
